In 1975, Dr. Amar Bose had the idea to create sound quality headphones, so that people can focus and enjoy their music without begin disrupted by the world around them.

The Problem

Bose is a company that aims to use science to make our lives and experiences with music better. However, within the post decade the music industry has been disrupted, creating friction between you and your music, making it more difficult for you to find music that suits your needs. How can Bose change the way we experience our music and remove the friction that currently exist?

The Solution

Bose has always been an innovative company and now it's time to continue that legacy. By creating a new product that uses neuroscience to enhance our musical experiences, removing potential disruption.

Science proven that music can greatly impact our emotional state and can have an affect on us physically. Finding the right song, at the right time can heavily impact our productive and performance.

Bose Neuro 35 (BN35) take your musical experience to new heights through brain power. Using the advancements in neuro-technology, the BN35s gives you the power to control you music based on your current mood and focus.

BN35 Features

The BN35 Headphones are embedded with electroencephalography (EEG) sensors chip. These chips measures electrical activity generated by the synchronized activity of thousands of neurons, essentially measuring your focus state.

BN35 headphones are able to sync with streaming music platforms, like Spotify and Pandora.

In 2004, Facebook was introduced to the world. Facebook believes that by connecting people, it will make the world a better place.

In 2014, Facebook launched FbStart. A program to help developers with their mobile startups. Aiming to connect people and businesses with one another.

The Problem

The primary focus of FbStart is only on developers. However, ideas can come from many different people with different backgrounds. How can Facebook help people bring their ideas to life when ideas come in many forms?

The Solution

Great ideas comes in many expressions. However, most of those ideas starts with paper. We created a tool to help people jumpstart their ideas.

Facebook will partner with the 256-year-old company arjowiggins, the world’s leading manufacturer of creative and technical papers.

FbSource is an initiative to prepare the next generation of creative innovators. We combined the craftsmanship of arjowiggins with Facebook and its existing startup incubator program, FbStart.

FbSource provides a tool and resources to support first-time entrepreneurs. The tool is a journal that teaches users about the innovation process and guides them through the steps it takes to design a product or service.

FbSource Users

We call them Generation "i" (Innovators). They are people who are trying to come up with the next big idea. They’re driven, consistent and unique thinkers who are not  limited by their age, skills, or experience.

The Journal is comprised of five sections, Ideation, Research, Strategy, Design, Testing, and the Pitch. These sections are aim to assist users with developing their big idea. Breaking every step that is necessary to produce a well designed and thoughtful product/service.

The Digital Hub is where users can seek guidance for their big idea. FbSource users can speak with FbSource mentors, collaborate with teammates, upload content from their FbSource Journal, and submit their two minute pitch to Facebook all within the Digital Hub.
